Mid-range flutes - key of A, G, and F#

These flutes are approximately 19 to 23 inches in length, the A  being the shortest and the F# being the longest.  They are approximately 7/8 inch inside diameter, and approximately 1 1/4 inch outside diameter.

Lower Range, or Bass, Flutes - key of C, D, and E

These flutes have a lower register, and are considered bass flutes. They have a softer tonality, and are larger diameter and longer, with wider finger spacing, and are therefore slightly more difficult to master.  They are approximately 23 1/2 to 28 1/2 inches in length, the E being the shortest and the C being the longest, with a 1 inch inside diameter and 1 3/8 inch outside diameter.
