All Two Ravens Flutes are hand-crafted in West Texas by Bob & Jodie Freeman. These wooden Native American style flutes are inspired by an original flute artifact found by a Texas archeologist, and have evolved over thirty years of flute-making into today's instruments.
All Two Ravens Flutes are two-chambered, 6-hole design and play the minor pentatonic scale. Because of the sixth hole, they also play the major diatonic scale.
Our favored wood for flutes is eastern juniper, also known as aromatic cedar, because it produces those mellow, reverberating, haunting sounds associated with tribal culture. We also use black walnut and cherry, and occasionally mahogany. We NEVER use exotic or unsustainable rainforest woods.
